Submarine Hull Damascus
Some knives can be extra special when they are recycled from something a person holds close to them. Being a Navy nuclear submarine veteran, I had an idea to preserve a piece of my submarine in my knives. Scrap machined shavings from the hull of the USS Maine were gathered while the ship was in overhaul, and then mixed with high carbon powdered steel and forged into blades. A unique pattern is obtained from this process. There is only a limited supply, so when I run out that will be all there is.
